Turkey Trot and Waddle with MaryLynn

Before you gather around the table for your Thanksgiving feast, come out for a Thanksgiving Day morning adventure, including stairs, beach, and dunes. This is not a 5k, or 10k or competitive run or race. It is just an opportunity for like-minded, fun-loving adventurous people to enjoy a morning together exploring our beautiful area, and did I mention getting some exercise! How much you get will be determined on how much you want to eat! Laketown stairs…..? Optional! Our goal is to summit the Laketown Sand bowl! Kid friendly, dog friendly, bring gramma and grampa too!
All this fun for free!

The details:
We will gather at 8:00am for an 8:15am start together, walk or jog, trot or waddle. An out and back course so you can really go your own pace. Total distance, maybe 3 1/2 miles. Opportunity for the compulsive to do stairs and dune climb more than once! Also, did I mention the Disneyland type swing ride off the top of the Dune?
RSVP Howard and Marylynn hoboweb@hughes.net

Frostbite 300

F R O S T B I T E
300 MILE Running CLUB
The club starts 11/4/12 and will end the first day of track practice.  (March 2013)

The idea behind the 300 mile running club is to encourage runners to keep running over the cold winter days in preparation for track season.
Use the buddy system and run as a group as often as possible.  Also lift and cross train.

Please log your miles on the google calendar and a parent should be able to verify the miles.

At the end of the winter and 300 miles later you will be one of the elite few to earn a “Frostbite”
300 Mile Club T-shirt.

State Meet

Congratulations to our two State Runners
Hannah VanRees and Jessica Mulder both qualified last weekend at regional's for the state meet at the Michigan International Speedway. It was awesome to be there as they both ran their last High School meet and set PR's all in one day. Hannah VanRees came through the finish relaxed and running strong she placed 79th with a time of 19:45, Jessica Mulder came through the finish with a great kick in those last 400 meters she was passing people left and right, she was 102nd with a time of 19:56.
