Happy Tuesday I hope that you are doing well. Monday was our first Invitational of the season at Orchard View in Muskegon. The course was a little different this year with the start and the finish in different places but it was a good change I think. Orchard view is a fairly flat and mostly in the shade which was nice for the runners, since the sun was pretty warm yesterday afternoon.
There were a lot of pre-race jitters and nervousness, but that is ok. Being the first one of season and having a lot of new runners, meant that this race was great for finding out a starting point for were they are at with their fitness and running.
Shaded Trails were really nice for the runners. Keeping them out of the direct HEAT of the sun
They finished on the Track this year which is different from years past when they would finish the same place that they started.
There were quite a few more schools this year at this invitational as you can see from looking at the starting line.
