I wasn't at the Cougar Falcon because of a previous race commitment, but I did find some pictures online that Gazelle sports posted !!  

There were LOTS of PR's and Lots of Varsity Times and lots of HAPPY Runners !!!!

Yesterday was a warm Day (again) for running. It was our second conference meet of the season HC vs. Byron Center. After a slow slightly chaotic start, because we were missing the official starter we did get around to running. 

Congrats to HC Girls on their Win and way to go HC Boys despite the heat and the hill they really kicked it into high gear. So Proud !!! On to the pictures since I think I figured out why they weren't showing up. I will have to go back to previous posts and update those, but here are a bunch from yesterday !!!

HC VS ZW at Unity

It sure was a warm day for our first Conference meet of the season. For our first conference meet it was HC Vs. Zeeland West at the Unity Christian Cross Country coarse. This coarse has varied terrain starting with a large grassy field and moving to the woods for some trails, hills, and a little loose gravel. Runners needed to be careful in the trails to not over do it going down or they may slip and fall and to run up the hill smart so that they would have energy left when they get to the top. 

Overall the race went well. For the girls team this was a place race, not a time race we needed to place well against the Zeeland West Girls and they were not going to let up on us. The HC girls had to run hard and smart. They did a great job with both and while the times were slower then usual we came out on top. CONGRATS HC Girls. 

The Boys are struggling with some sickness and Injury right now, so they just needed to go out and run their race. They did a great job sticking with it and pushing through this race. They are only going to get stronger and run smarter because of races like this one.

A cool morning made it feel like a fresh fall morning, which was great for running :) Congrats to all the XC runners on some fast times and great finishes. Looking forward to the start of conference meets this week.
