Regionals

Results

It was a gray rainy day for Regional's at the Red bug motocross park in Buchanan MI. The girls team had one thing on their mind and that was qualifying for the state meet as a team.

Course Preview run, proved that this was not going to be and easy course to run, it was all grass and very hilly. It was going to be a place race. The top 20 girls can qualify for state as individuals or if you put 4 in the top 20 you qualify as a team. We were shooting for putting 4 in the top 20 !!!

The Girls pulled through and Qualified for State as a team putting 4 in the top 20 and coming in second for the meet. We are going to STATE !!!!!

Here are a few pictures from regional's it was hard to get any real good ones because it kept raining.

HC Vs. Holland at Hamilton and HC Vs.Hamilton at South Christian

Ok so forgive me I got a week behind which is not good b/c it is hard to play catch up.

HC Vs. Holland at Hamilton and HC Vs.Hamilton at South Christian

9/30/2015- HC Vs. Holland at Hamilton

The course at Hamilton was all NEW this year. That took a little getting used to but it was good because it was much less confusing and there was no hill. It was a nice simple course out and around the soy bean field behind the school. It was also a pretty fast course. It was a lovely day for running and spectating.

10/7/2015 HC vs. Hamilton at South Christian

This is the same course that we race the Christian school invite at, so everyone pretty much knows how this runs. It was a little warmer but a nice a day. HC girls had to run a smart place race. Hamilton has a strong top 5 and so do we. So we knew it was going to come down to being smart about where the girls placed. The girls were very excited and up to the challenge. They did a great job running against Hamilton. They are are now 4-0 !!!!

Pictures ... Pictures... Pictures !!!!

Yesterday was a warm Day (again) for running. It was our second conference meet of the season HC vs. Byron Center. After a slow slightly chaotic start, because we were missing the official starter we did get around to running.

Congrats to HC Girls on their Win and way to go HC Boys despite the heat and the hill they really kicked it into high gear. So Proud !!! On to the pictures since I think I figured out why they weren't showing up. I will have to go back to previous posts and update those, but here are a bunch from yesterday !!!

HC VS ZW at Unity

It sure was a warm day for our first Conference meet of the season. For our first conference meet it was HC Vs. Zeeland West at the Unity Christian Cross Country coarse. This coarse has varied terrain starting with a large grassy field and moving to the woods for some trails, hills, and a little loose gravel. Runners needed to be careful in the trails to not over do it going down or they may slip and fall and to run up the hill smart so that they would have energy left when they get to the top.

Overall the race went well. For the girls team this was a place race, not a time race we needed to place well against the Zeeland West Girls and they were not going to let up on us. The HC girls had to run hard and smart. They did a great job with both and while the times were slower then usual we came out on top. CONGRATS HC Girls.

The Boys are struggling with some sickness and Injury right now, so they just needed to go out and run their race. They did a great job sticking with it and pushing through this race. They are only going to get stronger and run smarter because of races like this one.
