I'm emailing you today seeking student volunteers (primarily females) to help Gazelle Sports facilitate shoe fittings for Girls on the Run in January. I know there are many high school athletes in Ottawa and Allegan Counties who have participated in Girls on the Run and would like to give back to the program in some way, but are unable to during the spring because of their athletic commitments. I'm sure there are some looking for ways to fulfill some community service but also some just looking to give back, so I'm asking you to please communicate this opportunity to your athletes. We have many different fittings scheduled (at least 1 in each school district plus many at Center for Women in Transition in Holland) and they only take a couple of hours; I imagine it would benefit your program as well to have high school athletes interacting with the next generation of athletes in your community.
